Town Committee
The current composition of the Town of Canandaigua Democratic Committee is as follows:
Reid Hankin, Chair
Reid and his wife, Bondie, have lived in the Town of Canandaigua for the last 23 years raising a family of five in a large, brick house built in 1812. Reid cares deeply about the Town of Canandaigua and wants to see the same high quality of life provided to future generations of families in the Town that has been afforded his family.
Kathleen Lowe, Vice-Chair
My husband and I decided some twenty years ago to build our home in Canandaigua. Attracted by its scenic beauty and its potential for outdoor activities such as sailing, swimming, cross-country skiing, and hiking, we concluded that Canandaigua offered us the life style that we wanted to live. After teaching for thirty years, I am enjoying my retirement, but feel a desire to continue to contribute to our very special community. As a member of the newly formed Town of Canandaigua Democratic Committee, I hope to be of service by helping to promote a healthy, two-party system which will be more responsive to the citizens of this Chosen Spot.
Joe Kardesh, Secretary
Joe and his wife moved to the town eight years ago after he retired from the New York State Office of Court Administration. He currently serves as the Secretary for both the Town of Canandaigua and Ontario County Democratic Committees and is the County representative for the 129th Assembly District on the State Democratic Committee.
Bob Locke, Treasurer
Gail Korn, Committee Member
Gail and her husband Steve have lived in Canandaigua for the past five years and have enjoyed sailing on the lake for the past 17 years. They have a beautiful 12 year old daughter who entered 7th grade this fall. Gail has a very strong connection to the region, as her grandparents farmed the area that later became Roseland Park, and her father was born here and attended Canandaigua schools. Gail and her family are delighted to call Canandaigua home.
Jan Richmond, Committee Member
My husband and I have lived in the town of Canandaigua for five years and enjoyed Canandaigua Lake for thirty years. Preserving the quality of the lake and the surrounding area is important to the economic health of Canandaigua.
