The Codes Committee will meet on June 4, 2008, at 7:30 AM to discuss updates to our Town Code. This committee reviews and provides the Town Board updates and amendments to our code for their action.

The Parks and Recreation's Trails Committee is now up and running. They will be developing an action plan recommending a trails development plan for our town to the Town Board.

A Planning Department update on the RSM development company's DEIS (the draft environmental impact statement for the proposed development for the German Bros. Marina and the Johnson property): The Town Planner is summarizing the Planning Board and consultant comments to present to the Planning Board for the June 10, 2008, meeting. They will either accept or reject the DEIS at that meeting.

A special committee will meet on June 19, 2008, at 6:00 PM to discuss updates to the Town's Comprehensive Plan. This is also an open meeting. There will be opportunities for public input once a process for the update is established.

Our Highway Supervisor reports that Cooley Rd. will be closed to all but local traffic next week (June 9–13, 2008) for repairs.

The resolution to increase the Park and Recreation fee paid to the Town from new construction in the Town is still on hold. There will be a workshop on June 30 at 7:00 PM with the Town Board and the Planning Board along with the attorneys and Town staff to come to consensus on the best way to implement the revised fee structure.

There will be an opening on the Planning Board due to a resignation. The Town will be advertising in the Daily Messenger. Looking for any resident of the Town of Canandaigua interested in this or other future openings. This is an opportunity for residents to serve and contribute to our community.
